A 2-hour drive to the north of Paris will take you to the small town of Méaulte, where there is a museum about World War I, a library, but most importantly an airport and an Airbus factory. This airport holds a yearly air show which has become one of the major ones in France. A great organization, but mostly a very diverse line-up of aircraft, both in flight and in the ground. Traditionally, a sunset show is held on the Saturday night, and the main show takes place on the Sunday.  The sunset is the occasion to catch the aircraft in a different light, especially for those which use flares (such as Belgian F-16 and Agusta A-109).
The airshow occurs in the end of August, so the light is much softer for photographers. Although the public area is backlit, it is possible to go to nearby fields in the south of the runway to get the best angles of demonstrations.

The pictures below were taken during the 2019 and 2021 editions of Albert Airshow. Jet Blast Area will probably visit the airshow during the 2025 edition as well.
