Every year, the Hellenic Air Force organizes an airshow to showcase its equipment to the public. The event is a great occasion to catch some of their rarest and more common aircraft and helicopters. The airshow takes place in Tanagra AFB, north of Athens, which is home of the 331 and 332 Mira (Mirage 2000 and Rafale). Aircraft such as F-4 Phantoms, Mirage 2000, T-2C Buckeye, CL-415 Canadair, F-16C, but also CH-47F Chinook, NH-90 Caimans, OH-58D Kiowa or SH-60 Seahawks can be seen both in flight and on the ground.
Partners of Greece also bring some interesting equipment, with some of the finest European Solo Displays taking part to the show: French Rafale, Danish and Belgian F-16, Swiss F-18 have been common visitors over the years. In 2021, the Royal Air Force of Saudi Arabia brought a Tornado, a F-15C and the Saudi Hawks demo team.
The Greek weather make it one of the safest airshow destinations in Europe!
