The goal of Jet Blast Area is to provide a photographic summary of the military exercises, base/airport visits, flights or airshows in which I take part to, as well as reports to provide information about these events.
The name - Jet Blast Area - symbolizes my will to get as close as possible to the action to bring back the most interesting content that can be. The jet blast area is that zone behind an aircraft with engines running, in which hazards can be caused, yet as a photographer you often find yourself in it.

I am Timothée Savouré, a French aircraft photographer who started planespotting as a boy.
In 2009 my father brought me to Paris CDG to see the first Air France A380, just a month after it was delivered. I loved it so much that I went again a few months after, and then more and more. With the passion to see aircraft, came the interest for photography: I started taking pictures of aircraft when going to the airport, and then I improved throughout the years. Since then, I never left the world of aircraft photography.
Nowadays I travel the world to try to catch as many interesting planes as I can. I mostly chase military aircraft, yet I always love to catch civilian planes which were my first love.

Unless specified otherwise, the photographs showcased on Jet Blast Area are taken exclusively by myself (Timothée Savouré) and the rights belong to me. The content of the articles is a summary of interviews, conferences, military exercises briefings, as well as sources from the Internet and various websites.
